New Centavia flights

Post by JAT_boy_BEG »

BELGRADE - Serbia's first low cost carrier, Centavia (7N/CNA) has announced that they will commence flights between Podgorica and Zagreb.

Unfortunately, Croatian authorities have rejected Centavia the rights to open direct flights between Belgrade and Zagreb.

Flights to Podgorica start from 9 Euros one way ex taxes. Centavia will fly 6 times a week to Podgorica, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with each days getting 2 flights. They are said to soon offer flights to Basel as well.

Centavia have now 2 contact numbers at Belgrade's Nikola Tesla Airport.

They will not start flights to Zagreb because Croatia did not give them flying rights. Now they will only fly to Podgorica, I think it was 6 times a week.

Now lets get something straight here!
Centavia s application for flights on the BEG-ZAG-BEG route
were DENIED by the Croatian CAA, BECAUSE Centavia s
application had all the elements of a scheduled service
between the two cities AND Centavia s request was for charter
services ONLY!
The definition of the word charter in the aviation world is "accomodation
not available to the general public DIRECTLY ", meaning seats are not
allowed to be sold on the internet but through THE organisation thats
chartering the aircraft!
It appears Centavia had started to advertise the service on their website!
Apart from this the main reason Centavia were denied access is that
Republic Serbia have not signed an air services agreement with Croatia
in full yet!
