At the airport, throngs of disgruntled and crying passengers who had either missed their flights or got stuck at the airport enroute to Nairobi, were desperate to get accommodation. “I am stranded; I had an emergency business to attend to in Belgium, but now look, I have been here for the last four hours waiting for my flight in vain,” a middle aged man, clinging to a rack that was holding his baggage said.
He said he had been in Kigali on business for a week, but declined to mention his name.
The stress and despair was quite evident at the airport, as parents with children practically cried at the cruel fate that had altered their travel arrangements.
talking about sentsation-sick newspapers...

I got some direct news from a passenger of the aircraft that was grounded in Kigali. The Rwandese press is reallybad and knows no better than to SN Brussels Airlines.

The truth is that all passengers remained very quiet, polite, courteous and tey clearly understood the situation. SN BA made a maximum to help them with a good meal and a nice accommodation, together with free telephone calls. The passengers to NBO were already rerouted the following morning at 6.45am.

Well done under difficuly circumstances, SN!
