Jetairfly question
Hi,
I have a small question on flying with Jetairfly. I am flying out on Saturday 30/9 to Tenerife with. I check a bit their metal, and it seems to be a B737-800. I saw on their website they have 189 seats on the 737-800, that is the same as on a Ryanair B-737-800!! Does this mean their pitch is also that horrible (28 inch ... Dreading the 4 hour flight in this Sardine box, I am 1.92 m..). We booked via VIP Selections, and in their brochure, they talk about "preferential service", does this mean some extra seat pitch, or better food? If anyone has experiences with flying them, and especially with a VIP Selection package, thanks for letting me know.

You also get beer or wine with your meal and cookies and a newspaper on your return flight.
The seatpitch is the same as on Thomas Cook or Virgin Express or Ryanair though...
If you want more legroom I would recommend booking a flight to Tenerife in business class with Iberia...on the other hand you'll have a stopover at Madrid prob. and it costs you a few 100's € more...at least

You should check in very early, and ask for 'wing seat'
They can't refuse you if you booked through VIP, if you want to be really sure, you can ask your travel agent, who is able to book your seats on the plane with the Jetair reservation system (think it's called JIL (jetair internet link))
good luck, and enjoy your holidays!

* direct transfer hotel-airport for return flight
* Belgian newspaper of the day on return flight
Pls note that all Jetairfly flights are preseated, in order to be able to give distinguished service according to what you booked (VIP Selection / Jetair). Hence no exit seat can be asked upon checkin, nor through your travel agency.

Well, I just came back from my week in Tenerife, with Jetairfly as carrier. We flew out with the 737-400. Luckily I had a seat in row one, so pitch wise it was doable. But the plane is just old. Flight back was with a Jet4You 737-400, which was even older, and really was (from the inside) in a horrible state. I had 2A, which has .... not seat in front, so I had all the space in the world. Is there any connection betweenJet4You and TUI? Despite the very old and worn out planes, the service was pretty good food and drink wise (the Champagne is the same brand as with SN ... you can find the brand in Carrefour as well). Again, what Belgian carriers lack in "planes", they compensate in service and, most important, staff!!
Hi Cadedrish,
I flew back Saturday 7/10, TFN-BRU, sure you were on the flight? I can't complain about the pitch, that's for sure .. I pity the ones who had had "normal seats", since the pitch looks aweful ... Very funny as well, since this old birdy does not have any monitors, you can't follow the route the plane is taking, so the crew handed out some plastic map with the flightplan, straight from the cockpit. I remember in the 80'ies we often had this as well. Since I can't remeber the landing, I assume it must indeed have been a really soft one!

I flew on OO-TUA and OO-TUB last year in september. Although I'm only 1m75, I found the seat pitch to be acceptable, about the same as VEX and better than Sobelair's 733 a few years ago. Also the interior looked in good shape on both a/c. The only thing I noticed that one overhead screen in OO-TUA was not working and the IFE controls in my armrest were loose (15A).
I flew the wet-leased Futura panes this year (EC-IVR and EC-IYS) they had no overhead screens and I found the seat pitch in EC-IVR very tight. I was in 29A, is it only this row that is cramped, I don't know... Also EC-IVR show it's ages from the inside. EC-IYS looked better to me, and seat-pitch was also better, the same as in Jetairfly's own 734 (28F).
