EBKT (Kortrijk) 07/10/2006 : Jetairfly 737

Post by Duke »

On Saturday October 7, a Jetairfly 737 will be landing at EBKT in the morning. The aircraft is expected to take off from EBKT at 8.30am local, bound for Jersey.
An exceptional opportunity to spot a 737 from really close by.
Spotters and photographers, be there (hopefully the wheather will be nice, althought the forecast is bad).
I'll be a passenger on the plane, so I will not be able to take a picture of the take-off. Anybody wants to take a shot for me?
Return is the same day at around 20.30 local, so it will be too dark to make pictures.

Do you know which time it will arrive at KJK? It seems that 737's are popular at KJK for the moment, the second in some weeks time...

hmmmmh... very strange to me...
why is jetairfly organising a flight from Kortrijk?
I never saw a 737 before in Kortrijk... I even doubt if a 737 can land in EBKT...

Obviously it can.
Does EBKT have a terminal & customs officials to handle 737's?

For those who are doubting that Wevelgem is capable of handling a 737 here's one about two 2 weeks ago

Hi,

EBKT have all needed qualifications to deal with international traffic.
That means that we can handle EU/shengen and non EU/shengen traffic.

I just say the TUB 737-4XX landing on runway 24 (around 8h29)... it is really strange to see the TUI logo here at EBKT

I didn't know that in the beginning too, untill I saw the LOC/NDB approach chart of runway 24 at Kortrijk (EBKT). It says it can handle A+B+C (737 is a cat C aircraft) aircraft so...nice to know.
