Saw a B-707 AWACS taking off from Brussels Airport on 06/10/2006!
According to some neighbours it's not the first time!
Anyone knowing more about this?

Goodafternoon,
Saw take off too around 17.05 LT.
I think the 707 was here for maintenance by SN Technics.

Lajes as in http://www.lajes.af.mil/ ?

Why do the US and other air forces regularly make night stops at a dominantly commercial airport like BRU?
Why don't they do their military business at places like Beauvechain, Kleine Brogel... ? Obviously these F16's didn't stop at BRU.

Perhaps it's the HOTAC convenience that draws them to a commercial airport.
