BRU 11/09/2006 Expected

Post by BMMP »

Hi All,

Two interesting visitors will arrive at BRU on Monday 11/09. First is the Philippine President, who should arrive on-board a chartered Philippine Airlines aircraft. Second is the Pakistani President (don't know with which aircraft type). Both should arrive late afternoon/evening. Sorry I don't have exact ETA. Maybe someone has?

The Philippine president will arrive late on 11 September.
They will depart again on 12 September.

The Pakistan delegation will also arrive late into Brussels on 11 September, they depart again on 14 September.

could be interesting. But I hope they don't land after 7pm 'cause it's too dark then to make good pictures.

The Pakistani arrived a few minutes after 17:00. It is PIA A.310 AP-BEU. It is parked in front of the DHL hangars near Abelag.

Phillipinne Airlines A340 ..... Hopefully well placed for pictures during the day.
Can anyone confirm that it is at the "normal" parking place at the GA terminal?

First stand seen from parking 53, one stairs in front at 21:30.

PIA was also pulled to the "widebody" spots at Abelag, it's two stands further than the Philippines, one stairs on the back at 21:30.

BTW, I cleaned both aircraft, a very nice experience ! The Pakistani president has a nice bedroom :D

Regards, Robin Bamps.

The Philippines plane is now clear without stairs and a very nice early morning sunshine on it!

Lucky you!

I've just made pics of both planes, once edited I'll upload them.

That's a real pitty. Maybe you should check your camera settings? Otherwise, just run to your local photo shop and I'm sure they will be able to help you.

Anyway, even though the livery isn't quite spectacular, it's still an exotic visitor for BRU:
