I second that! If you need any help to get more petitions I'm more than happy to fly over to Berlin then take the train to give you a hand! ;)

More seriously though have you ever contacted airlines that might possibly fly to Poznan? What was their response?

First message was sent to Norwegian - just 3 days ago (Friday). We
We would like to see them flying from Poznan.

We offered them a tour of the city and we want to send them analysis which is being prepared now :) showing the advantages of flying to/from Poznan :D

We intend to contact with other airlines as well.

P.S. I can inform You about our next action in the city :D
If You will be able to come - why not? I think we can arrange a place to sleep as well - You will be our guest :D

Norwegian seems indeed the airline which might help you! They seem to be very interested in the Polish market! What about Ryanair? Or even better Wizz they might be interested in Poznan since they love locations which are not that central! (Gdansk= Berlin ;))

Might take your offer on actually! In the meantime I'd love to see the dossier you have created for them!

What or who is the Lunatic btw?

Poznan's June '56

Post by starosta »

Hello - this information doesn't have a lot of things to do with aviation but it is abou the city itself

Let me show the pics made by our colleague Subs, yesterday during the celebrations of 50th anniversary of the so called Poznan’s June 1956” – first anti-comunistic revolution which in Poland. There is a web page describing the whole story of 1956. There is a strong connection between this what has happened in Poznan in June 1956 and this what happened in Budapest in October 1956.
Please visit it to learn more – it is in English as well:
www.1956.pl

some decorations/artistic presentations on the streets of Poznan:

Some tram routes had to be changed for celebrations:

The official part of celebrations took place on Adam Mickiewicz Square – in 1956 – Stalin Square, a place where 100.000 pepole come to protest in 1956:

5 presidents have participated in ceremony – Czech, German, Hungarian, Polish and Slovak:

Ok, Vinnie! I think I can show it to You as it will be ready :)
What they received now is a letter with basic information about the campaign. But they will receive all (has to be translated to English as well) in about 2 weeks :)

Does your brochure focus a lot on the Economics or more on the social side?

Count of Luchtzak. But as we are a non-for-profit organisation, we can only provide our sympathy!

Maybe you could also try to convince some businessmen to start an airline based in Poznan. I don't know if it's realistic, but if it works, you might have all the destinations you wish. :rotate:

We received information (not official) that the German airline Dauair (www.dauair.com) has lost the licence for flying.

It means that Poznan will have no longer connection with Dortmund, Paderborn, Stuttgart and Zurich. It means also that other companies (meyby more known than Dauair) can operate those destinations - specially very good Poznan-Dortmund. I hope to see this connection asap again.

Dauair has had very high prices, what did not disturb people to fly.

Campaign continues!

Post by starosta »

Hello!

Yesterday we've been standing for the last time on the streets of Poznan! Within 4 hours we've had 1.001 new petitions! Althogether we have more than 6.500!

We want to organise a public conference for media summiting first phase of campaign -cause we know that it will be still running! :) (meyby in a little bit different way).
Conference should take place somewhere about 15 September :)
I'll let you know!

We are also working on new photos and descriptions (in English) about Poznan and region of Wielkopolska (translation: Greater Poland, Grosspolen, Grande Polonia, Latin: Polonia Maior) on our web page www.flytopoznan.com

Check the photos!
greetings!

Wow campaign still going strong!

Looking at all your pics I'd certainly advertise Poznan as being the babe heaven! Though that might not attract the best behaved tourists around it would certainly increase flights to and from Poznan!

^^ :)

I've forgot to tell that this week we organise CONTEST!
:)
People have to fill inquiry - a kind of poll "Where I would like to fly from Poznan" and propose a sentence which should advertise the idea of flying from the Poznan Airport!

The authors of the three best sentences will be awarded with double tickets on routes:
Poznan- Greece - Poznan (charter flight)
Poznan- Munich - Poznan
Poznan- Warsaw - Poznan

:)
