While surfing on http://www.airliners.net/ I found several pictures of ex SN 732C OO-SDK @ Bournemouth.
The 732 appears to be cannibalized... state

Thanks, OO-SBZ. But what the hell is this poor plane doing there? Why in Bournemouth, which is otherwise a nice sea resort?

Quite obvious Andre, BOH is the home base of European Aircharter, the owner of the ex Sabena plane. According my latest info the plane will be cannibalized like oo-sbz told us.

As they are stage III huskitted, they impose no problem for the noise polution, the only thing to worry about is the fuel consumption. So the (in)stability of oil prices will be a very important factor in keeping the plane or not.

As a reminder, European Aircharter bought most planes of this batch and sold/leased two of them to other operators...

I spend some time looking for a pic of each plane to see how it looks now. Poor old OO-SDK appears to be the only one treated in that way. Others were indeed seen flying in the last monts...

It is indeed important to highlight this situation...

The Boeing 737-229s are part of SN history and I prefer seeing them flying/'living" elsewhere than being parked/stored @ BRU. Yet one of them is in a sorry condition.

:teach: As far is history is concerned, you try not to forget it so that it will not repeat itself...

Is there news on other ex-Sabena 737s, I flew on several but only got the registrations of the last two OO-SDX (300 variant) and OO-SYG (500 variant). I have looked on the website set up about ex-Sabena aircraft, but is that the most up to date information available so far?

well those 200 are getting quite oldso i dont feel very safe anymore on those things and the noise it makes in the galleys in the back is horrible ... nice planes stiull butt , evry plane has his time .. like the 747 sabena had that thing used more fuel than any other aircraft in sabena , anybody knows where this thing has gone to .?
