air adriatic ( Croatia )

Post by world »

There is currently a strong news source which indicates that the struggling Croatian charter carrier air adriatic has found a new investor.
It appears that a Russian investor has become part owner of air adriatic. There are plans to maintain the current fleet of MD80s and there is also unconfirmed talk that up to 2 Boeing 757s will join the fleet from the summer of 2007 for flights from Croatia s adriatic airports to intercontinental cities in Russia.

I have read that they are looking for 5 B737-700s to replace MD-80s.

There is no confirmation at the moment about AHR purchasing any B737s , it looks that the MD80s will remain in the fleet for the time been.
The B757 news comes a very reliable source!

Is there a demand for B757's to fly just say, from PUY-SVO? I wouldn't see them get more than 1, at the moment. Maybe they will use it from ZAG or DBV, even SPU is an option. Any more news about this?

Apparently 2 B.757s will join the fleet from the first half of 2007!
There is a big demand for flights to the Russian region as is demonstrated by Transaeros B747s and B767s to Pula and Dubrovnik.
It appears that other cities from Russia,Ukraine and Kazakhstan will also be introduced.

Kazakhstan??? I don't know about the demand say from KBP, but i doubt a B757 load. Russia, definately, say PUY-SVO/DME would do good, even to LED. Novosibirsk can probably do a few. Do they plan to go trans-atlantic, to JFK and YYZ?

There is more info in relation to air adriatic,
it appears that 2 B767s will join the fleet and "not" the B757s
as previously mentioned here.
A current news lead suggests that the first B767 will arrive
in June 2007!

According to a news article this week in the Croatian magazine
"business.hr", it appears that Air Adriatic are about to start scheduled
flights from Zagreb and Split to European cities by the end of december
2006!
It looks that the B737-700 will be the main work horse for these new services and a B763 will arrive sometime in May 2007.
Up to 3 B737-700s could arrive and replace 3 of the 6 MD80s currently in the fleet!
Air Adriatic hopes to be direct its services towards a mix of scheduled domestic and euro services and continue its summer charter flights from Croatia s adriatic coast.

Just a reply to my friend on another website whose user name is "ildaniele", who asked me a question!
My answer to your question is:
Air Adriatic are currently a "sure starter", with its scheduled and long haul services in 2007!
Dalmatian.hr are a new Croatian scheduled airline ready to start in 2007 and they will be there in 2007, COMPETING with both "Croatia airlines and Air Adriatic on the local and euro sheduled routed from Croatia!"

They WILL BE THERE in 2007, COMPETING with both "Croatia airlines and Air Adriatic on the local and european scheduled routes from Croatia s SIX different airport s!
The B763 will be arriving in the Air Adriatic colours from May 2007!
