It has probably been asked before, but I'm pretty new out here...

How do you know on beforehand what the registration number of the plane will be?

I often stuck with the same question as you. There are so many ways to get the registration number of a flight, but the information obtained of the swiss ones is rather easy to get.

Just go to http://www.zurich-airport.com/ZRH/?ID_s ... day&a3=328

In the search-window you'll have to type " HBIYS " (or the registration of the aircraft you would like to get information of), whereupon you'll get a list of the destinations the aircraft will do the next day. Keep in mind that information of flights the next day from Zürich can only be obtained after 7 PM. Good luck!

I do have to say however that I frequently still don't know how a few people get information of specific flights.

Just saw a Polish Tu154 doing a go-around since a Kalitta 747 (N713CK) was still on the runway.
