Speed Limits for Airplanes?

Post by Twiedakker »

Hi,I need some info on legislation on speeds for airplanes...Is there a speedlimit for civil airplanes (or all airplanes?) when they fly low?Like under x feet planes can only fly x miles per hour?
Maybe someone has a good link where I can find that info?
Thx.
The day I learn to fly...I'm never coming down.

Yup correct. However, they can receive permision by ATC (if traffic permits), but there is a real limit, where aircraft must fly less then x knots. Forgot how much and at which altitude though

It is also a safety restriction, airliners windshields are not designed to sustain bird strikes at much higher speed.
