BRU 16/08/06: fire near runway / airport closed ?

just heard on my radio that BRU is closed for landing the next 2 houres (heard it round 17.20)
already a lot of diversions to Ostend, Liege, Frankfurt
don't know what happend, i just turned my radio on

T.O. seems to be normal.

the incident must have happen on the crossing of 25R / 20 , just heard a TC who got clearence for B3 after landing ; that's almost at the end of the rwy 07L

CFMU (eurocontrol) confirms, ATIS denies. According to BIAC site, no more departures in the last 45 minutes, but still some arrivals.

No, the construction works are on rwy 25L/07R.

It seems that a SQ Cargo 747 is affected by the current situation.
The flight came in 20 min ahead of the scheduled arrival time and before problems started, but the departure flight is now delayed for more than 6 hours.
