Which Is Your Favourite Military Aircraft
What is the favourite military aircraft of the Luchtzak members?
Apart from vintage aircraft (V Bombers, British aircraft of the 50s and 60s) my favourite is the BAe Nimrod, followed by the Sukhoi Flanker.
Favourite helicopter is the Apache, and Russian types.

Sabena and Sobelair - gone but never forgotten.

The plane that illuminated my youth (I bought book covers with pictures of it and its successors) was the Gloster Meteor 4, in use in the Belgian Air Force. I also liked very much the Starfighter F104G, aslo in service in the Belgian Air Force. Among the contemporary planes, my preference would go to the F18 Hornet.(thanks for the nice drawing, MD11).

The Gloster Meteor - first British-built jet fighter in full operational service. Nice to know that others on here appreciate the vintage British stuff.
(Does the military forum also cover the vintage military types or is it just modern stuff? I can happily talk all day about the vintage ones).
I am a big fan of the DH types as well.

To me it still has the looks of planes from today(looks even nicers),
like the F-117A and the B-2 which look alike but are not so beautiful neither
so impressive.

You said something, Comet?Comet wrote:The F-15 is a spectacular aircraft in all its variants, but I have to say I prefer the Flanker and MiG 29.
