Either CAE and Clickair directly do not accept foreign pilots when
they are not able to talk in spanish. This occurs in the EU in 2006.
Spain is bankroll by some major european countries.
Maybe it works now for the beginning, but later on when the pool of
Vueling captains get empty, they will get the receipt about their
behaviour. Clickair can try to operate their planes with 2 FO`s, zero
flight hours, coming from academy. But probally it will be not a
problem, because they are "spanish"
...Not because the are "spanish" (Spaniards) but because they speak "Spanish" ...
If you go to work to an American company you need to speak English.
If you go to work in an Spanish company, Clickair, you need to
speak Spanish ...
Well may be I am wrong! Maybe it is time Spaniards forget Spanish and
begin to speak English once and for all! And the French too! And the Germans!
And the Japanese! And the Russians! And the Italians! And the Chinese! And even the English people should begin to learn to speak with American accent too!
As for me as I can understand English the only reason I see for pilots to
be asked to know Spanish is that in that way we get assured we do not have pilots who are so arrogant that they do not see the need to learn the language of the people with whom they are going to work with!
Look at the Barcelona team and you will see that all the foreigners learn Spanish!
In Barcelona, Spanish and Catalan are spoken so that you should be happy that only Spanish is needed!
If pilots were not asked to speak Spanish that would mean that the company - a low-cost one! - would have to spend money to translate
everything to those pilots!
But as I said before maybe I am wrong. I would like to know the reasons why A Spanish company should not ask their workers to speak Spanish?
Until now I have not seen any reason.
By the way, does anyone know if you lose your return ticket if you
miss your outbound flight with Easyjet?
I bought a return ticket but I missed the outbound flight. Now I want to
use the return ticket. Can I?
