Was the fuel too expensive to fly it back to Canada as we have just passed 1£ per liter for unleaded gas ?

In general:

Internal company documents tell that the wiring problem isn't the only problem the A380 is suffering. During test flights @ TLS, problems occured on fuselage section 19. This section is the section on which the tail of the giant is mounted and is made of high-tech synthetic. Test flights turned out the used material would be too weak and in March Airbus decided to strengthen that section 19.

In the Hamburg plant, designated as "Headquarter of A380 problems", aviation engineer Rüdiger Fuchs took charge of problems regarding the A380 project. He has to collect all information regarding this issues and report them directly to the board of Airbus in Toulouse. A first measure of Fuchs, regarding inside sources, is an extension of working hours to recover the delays in the A380-deliveries.
