Airline Putting Ads On Barf Bags

Post by MrAirbus »

PHOENIX -- It's enough to make you sick -- barf bags with ads.

U.S. Airways will start selling advertising on its air-sickness bags. Airline spokesman Phil Gee said the company is looking for new ways to counter rising jet fuel and labor costs...........

Passengers will start seeing the ad bags in September.

America West, which merged with U.S. Airways last year, had the first ads in the industry on tray tables........

Not such bad idea, hope the new USAirways will have a good future!

After using the bags, we should mail them back to the advertiser!

Ryanair used to do this (may still do, it's been a while since I flew with them). The bags, assuming they hadn't been used, could be used to contain photographic film. So, holiday makers were able to put their snaps in for processing at the end of the flight.

Whether that's worthwhile with so many people on digital nowadays is quetionable.
