If I connect a second screen on my computer(if that is possible) how can I display stuff on that screen while the cockpit is displayed on my standard screen.
For example: I fly the 747 and the cockpit is displayed on screen 1 and i have fs navigator open on the second screen so I can watch/use both.
That is certainly feasible, and even more!
My own setup has two screens connected to the same video card (an Nvidia 6600, if memory serves) and not only can I run FS one screen and have the other available for other things; much better is I can take some 'subscreen' from the one display to the other. This depends on how the panel is created, but for most planes you can take the radio stack, throttle quadrant, GPS... , right click in the header, select 'undock window' then drag it around with the mouse even into the second display. Handy indeed!
Apparently I have not been clear enough, here goes again:
I have (for flightsimming) one PC.
The PC has one video card
The video card has two video output connectors.
I have two (LCD) monitors.
Each monitor is connected with its own cable to one output of the video card.
Warning: what works for me is not guaranteed to work for you.
