Blue plane flying over BRU towards I believe rwy 7L (02/07)

Hello,

Just saw a plane from my place (+- above Merode Brussels) descending towards BRUI believe!

This means that it would probably be 7L! Am I dreaming? No time to take a pic or notice which model it was but looked pretty big and it was all blue!

Can anyone explain?

The only big blue plane which landed around that time in Brussels is the Korean B747.

However I'm not in Brussels so I don't know which runways are in use, since I don't know the wind conditions.

Yes that's possible.

The ATIS says that runway 07L is used for takeoff and 07R for landing.

The wind is blowing +/- 10 knots from the east, varying between north-east and south-east. That's the reason why they switched to runway 07R/07L.

Hello back,

Sorry maybe this event didn't deserve to be created in a separate topic but I was truly astonished to see a plane descending on either runway 7L or R!

I assumed it was 7L because I see many planes taking off from my place and usually correct me if I'm wrong it's 25R that is being used!

It truly looked like a 747 but I was rather unsure. So maybe Korean airlines Cargo yeah!

They're back on 02 arrivals now, because D-ABIO and (EC-ILR A321 by the way) just turned above my house on approach.

R07 where in use that's correct,
from my home in bxl I saw a Korean 744 and of course the 737's of TUI (all are blue planes)

I guess you saw the 744
