catair and the commercial name
Well, I went to the source. As in some Spanish papers it seems as if Catair is the name but it is just the holding name.
The commercial name has to be decided.
I imagine again www.clickair.com to be the choice.
I do not know when they will decide...

Vueling / CAT AIR
Dear Gentlemen,
today you can see with which tricks Vueling works to get pilots.
please check flightinternational.com, with CAT AIR logo on the right!
click further; URL http://www.cae.com/vueling JOB OF THE WEEK
Everybody knows about the bad reputation of this "airline"
Or how can we call a company how pays pilots with bananas?
"If you pay peanuts you will get monkeys" .. an old slogan from the
States.
They prefer to operate low cost with cockpit - salaries.
Can be a reason that month by month captains running away. Last time,
16 in one month!
As we all know there are some rumours in the air about CAT Air and
Vueling.
Is the attention of Vueling to make an illusion for all pilots that
Vueling is the new CAT Air?
Is this the last chance for Vueling to get pilots before the operation collapsed?
Vueling give you "7 reasons to become a Vueling pilot"
I can tell you one (1) not to do it!
1- They lie
By the way; I never applied for a position with Vueling
Best regards, xmad

A CAT AIR LOGO?
I have tried to find the CaT AiR logo as I was wondering how would it looked like but no chance.
These days as there is alot of talk about the SEPLA strike in Spain I have been wondering the real situation of pilots.

thanks a lot!
Thank you very much!
I tried and tried and I could not find.
I find so strange that everybody uses a name (CATAIR) and that
the commercial name will be another.
It would be funny that the new company had two names:
the official one and the popular one!
Maybe it is clickair but people say catair ...
In Barcelona that happened oft in Franco's time.
Avinguda Diagonal was called Avenida del Generalisimo but
people said just Diagonal.

The new LCC carrier will take off on the 29th october 2006.
The will fly from Barcelona to Málaga, Sevilla, Valencia and Bilbao
and 8 international destinations.
They will add 13 other spanish destinations between now en 3 years
The international destinations would be Amsterdam, Dublin, Geneva, Zurich, Prague, Lisbon, Oporto and Moscow.
On most of these destinations are operating LCC's except Oporto and Moscow.
The intention is to create 3 or 4 other bases after Barcelona.
Catair, that in fact is the name of the society, but not the one that will appear on its airplanes.
Málaga, Sevilla, Bilbao , Amsterdam and Lisbon are also Vueling destinations. So it seems that Iberia suffered a lot since the start of Vueling.

destinations map of catair
Today there is a lot of information about the new catair,
including a map of destinations:

So the other hubs will be A Coruña, Valencia , Sevilla , Bilbao and Malaga ?
Still have some doubts.
All those new destinations , it will cost a lot of money
to start those new destinations.
There are also other LCC operating on some destinations.
Will they survive it ?

LIST OF POSSIBLE NAMES FOR CATAIR
According to www.elperiodico.es (by the way I love this newspaper because not only it is very visual but it is the only newspaper with two
editions each day: the Catalan one and the Castilian one.) ...
well as I was saying in that newspaper map
.http://www.geocities.com/catalancat/blog.html/93.
you see the hubs of
Coruña, Bilbo, Barcelona, Valencia , Málaga and Sevilla (culturally
very rich places because they represent very different parts of the
peninsula with different languages and so on)
I hope to fly to these places because until now moving through Spain
was very expensive (it is still more expensive and uncomfortable to
go to the pretty city of Cuenca from Barcelona than flying to London.)
They begin with 120 milions euros.
In the map you see they go step by step.
At the beginning from Barcelona there will be only 10 routes.
As you can see in the map the COMMERCIAL NAME OF CATAIR will be decided before ten days.
I have my doubts about Click Air.
It is true that it sounds very international and totally related to
Internet but I find it ...
I do not know. After advertising it (if they choose it!) I will get used.
This morning I was thinking about possible names for the new Catair:
AU (it stands for bird in Catalan)
CEL (it means sky and also heaven in Catalan)
LOVE IS IN THE AIR (REMEMBER THE SONG?)
VENT (it stands for wind in Catalan)
But none of those satisfies me completely.
THE.CAT with a logo of a cat is CLEARLY my choice.[/url]

clickair finally ...
After months of not knowing anything finally this Tuesday 25th July the commercial name of Catair will be finally unveiled. They will tell us who the president of the new company will be.
And maybe and finally they will have a web page where people could contact them ( As the webmaster of www.catair.cat, the unofficial fan site about this new company, I used to received a lot of visitors who might have been looking for the new low-cost)
I am almost certain that the name will be clickair but let just wait some
hours more.
Nevertheless if you visit now www.clickair.com you get the message:
"En clickair estamos puliendo los últimos detalles."
which means they are pulishing the last details ...

is vueling having such a big problems??
this is a question for everyone but xmad initiated the discussion about the pilots from vueling so maybe he is the best person to answer this question.
is vueling having such a big problems with the pilots?
I have vueling tickets for december and I already had a bad experience with another LCC that went bankrupt just before my flight (Vbird)... shall I worry or do you think that we will have vueling for many years?

They say they are looking for jobs...
So, if you now go to www.clickair.com, you can submit your details for cabin and cockpit crew and other jobs... I found the following links:

And then, the press today says that sales start in September.... (http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&ned=u ... 01195.html AND http://news.google.es/news?hl=es&ned=es ... 3D11325877)

Clickair is soon open for business...cargando indeedsn26567 wrote:It will be Clickair: https://www.aviation24.be/article12174.html
You noticed the steps are still missing the 15years old GRF aircraft....
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Such aircraft were aging in a full service legacy airline, in this case Iberia.
Now it has to operate in a low cost environment.
But are Clickair and Iberia realizing that low costs operate more recent aircraft at very very competitive fares?.
Passengers booking Clickair will quickly experience they are flying Iberia's written off equipment at the same price they could fly LCC's new aircraft. (btw, they noticed already they were paying more when they were buying Iberia tickets and flying the same older aircraft much too expensive. That's why they left for the newer LCC aircraft.... already.)
Passengers will not need donkey's years before they understand that.
Iberia is fighting a young bull, with a semi retired matador, ole!
Noticed Clickair included Moscow in their list. And do you think they can cheat the Russians long time?

Mistero?
Yes, Robin I noticed that too, hence my link. Not so clever marketing strategy indeed.Robin_Bamps wrote:The animation on their website shows an A300...Wait and see... Regards, Robin Bamps.
Why refer to 16-26-year (almost) old aircraft, a semi-retired matador? Claro mistero?
Good question, Robin & Cesare.
Why show a A300? They don't have this plane in fleet active.
Or is it that they get these stored aircraft back on the tarmac? I cannot believe that!
