Anyone that has built a big RC model, started with a simple one !
A simple advise : don't start lonely, go to a club that will teach you simple but essential rules to build and fly it simply

I was thinking of building a Piper Cherokee-161 Warrior II. We'll give it an electric engine, but I doubt it will be r/c. It'll probably be a 'throw-and-fly' aircraft. It'll be scale 1/8.

There will be a RC models meeting over there

This looks interesting: close enough to Belgium, at a not too distant date: 19-20 August.

Any more details about the exact location?

Beugin seems to be on the road, between Lens and Calais, it is close to Houdain
you can check on the meeting organisator web site for access plan at : http://maca62.free.fr/

That would be a pleasure for me to meet the people that was talking about my model
On detail has been changed on my model since I have seen the real one re painted concerne winglet that used to be white on mine, and are now like the real one, blue with the Sabena logo on both sides

I have no more news from you, so if some of you visit us in Beugin meeting, ask about Will, close to the exposed Airbus you will recogize !

Evening flight will be organised with all lights on the Airbus

If some of you wants a souvenir, you just have to bring with you a video recorder as handycam, or else, with a video in, I supply a female RCA plug for the signal, and you will record the video comming from the plane in flight

I am now back from Beugin meeting, in the notrh of France, dep 62 !
Wheather was not very good, hard shower on Saturday in between sunny times, and shower on sunday morning, nice on sunday afternoon, but hardly windy
I could make 2 flights on Saturday, and 2 flights on Sunday
We had the french TV chanel : France 3 and a repport was in the daily news

just go at 11 min 20 sec for the repport on this meeting, and let me know what you think about
