Where to sit in MD-11

Post by kaldal »

Hi, we're flying Amsterdam-Quito tomorrow, on an MD-11, and I was wondering how bad the noise is in the back of the plane compared to the middle section. I am about to choose seats (online check-in).

Go here for seating plan

As of now, I have row 20-seats, but we're considering row 39... Any thoughts about the noise, or other aspects I should consider?

Thanks,
kaldal

I would choose between AB row 11 and 30. Flew this baby about 30 times and in the back it is getting noisy. Don't forget you got the noise from those 2 babies under the wings but also from the one in the tail section and oh boy you get really tired of this one after 10 hours ;)
Enjoy the take off!!!!!!!!!
