A nice surprise at Brucargo this morning in the shape of TF-AMC,
ABD B742F in full Saudi Arabian Cargo c/s without tail logo.

Why did an airline such as Saudi not have a tail logo on its cargo plane

That's not really a cancellation, rather a detour. BIAC shows now (departures):

Smartwings landed about 10 mins ago (23:00), so one extra hour of delay.

Can somebody confirm that B-HIH was again operating CX002 today?

Regards, Robin Bamps.

Because it's a replacement for Saudi's own B742 (HZ-AIU) which is in maintenance now ;)

If that's the only silver freighter they have, then yes.

By the way, anybody noticed the BR MD11F being pushed back, standing ready for taxi for ~30 minutes, and then being pushed again to its stand? Must have been a mechanical error, since some mechanics started working on the tail mounted engine afterwards. At 17h45 it still hadn't left BRU.

Greets,
Ivan

Bottie is it normal for Airlines to operate flights without their tail logos.

Is there no regulation that they cannot operate without it ?

And when you say it is a replacement.....for Saudi's own does that mean that the a/c has been given by the maintainence people !

Actually i am confused, please arrange to update and guide me as i have never seen something like this before.

The aircraft is operating for Saudi as a replacement of the grounded HZ-AIU (maintenance).
It's operated by Air Atlanta, hence the reg TF- , Air Atlanta is a specialist ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, Insurance).
That's the reason it is only partly painted in Saudi colours.

Thanks. I now understand.

That means the a/c is owned by Air Atlanta and is plying for Saudia till it own is repaired and returned, right
