"Big brother" at EBOS
I'm visiting EBOS from time to time and follow the posts about the airport on this site. I've seen some remarks towards "big brother" who's watching the spotters. Now, to make sure I never get into trouble, what seems to be the problem when going near the airport? I shoot from " het Kruishof", when I'm there for work or from the Hogedijk. Never went down to the Legeweg, because a sign said there are roadworks going on and I don't want to end up with a trapped car...
So, what do I need to be careful about? As long as I stay off the airport-property I should be fine, right?
Cheers,
Omag

"gewoon wat oneenigheid tussen enkele spotters, niet meer dan dat."
So don't worry, if you just go spotting and don't climb anything, you wont get any trouble.
Greetz,

Climbing the little barn- where the owner stores his grain and old bread to feed the ducks which he then shoots whenever he feels like it - at the end of the 'Legeweg' is not allowed! He barks louder than his own dogs when he notices you doing it...
Mr. Justicia (I also call him "big brother") is a cop who agrees with the owner and who threatens the people that climb the barn by telling them he'll write them a police report (while he's off duty...)
So, to all spotters now: for your own sake!
Don't climb the barn or the *** will make you pay for it...

Let's see how you'll react when I ,or someone else, climbs on your property without asking permission ... If this is a conflict 'on the field', keep it there and don't bring it heremichael_skypower wrote:Climbing the little barn- where the owner stores his grain and old bread to feed the ducks which he then shoots whenever he feels like it - at the end of the 'Legeweg' is not allowed! Im not so sure about that even if you are behind the fences and don't climb anything you can get into trouble as we experienced today...Andries wrote: So don't worry, if you just go spotting and don't climb anything, you wont get any trouble.

How I'd react when someone would be on my property is 1 question...
How the owner would react if his grandchild was a planespotter...
that's another question
I'll never forget the warm welcomes I've had during my stay in South Africa...where the airportmanagements arranged rampaccess while drinking a coffee together...
It made me think back of how staff used to get along with the spotters some years ago...
guess our world's changing...
