Mig17 you fly: Lufthansa
LH 3189 SVO 07:00 FRA 08:35 Non-stop 321
LH 430 FRA 10:05 ORD 12:15 Non-stop 744
and then?
Why not? : Lufthansa
LH 3189 SVO 07:00 FRA 08:35 Non-stop 321
LH 456 FRA 10:00 LAX)12:35 Non-stop 744 16h35min

You know, Lufthansa announces also flights to LAX as follows:
LH 3189 SVO 07:00 FRA 08:35 Non-stop AB6
LH 4726 FRA 09:35 LHR 10:15 Non-stop AB6
LHUA 9342 LHR 11:30 LAX 14:45 Non-stop 777 18h45min

This to show that BERMUDA II is still intact, but biased by the alliance strategies of the airlines. See my topic: Bermuda II agreement

Though I have never flown with LH and therefore cannot comment on their service, I have flown into Los Angeles airport on several occasions. It is a superb airport, believe me. It has seven terminals, and airlines which you never see in Europe go there. I absolutely love that airport!
Sabena and Sobelair - gone but never forgotten.

I once was the only pap ob a LH long haul...

I've flown LH many times. When you speak German, being non German, and airline staff, the flight attendants liked to pamper you.

And I think this a rarity: I was once the only passenger on board of a LH flight from MID to FRA. The flight was coming from MEX. That was when a LH was hijacked and big problems in the ME.
All flights out of MEX to Europe were full, as LH cancelled flights, and other traffic was disrurpted.
I told my LH colleague in MEX City I had imperatively to be in BRU.
He told me it would be impossible to board the DC10 in MEX as securirty would be under supervision of the German Ambassy in MEX City (On board was Grenzschutz Polizei), particularly the military attache. But if I could manage to get in MID in time I would be able to board there onto FRA. I got on board a Aeromexico and was in MID almost at the same time as the LH DC10. There the purser and the LT of the GP, came to pick me up - Condition was I was travelling light, so no bags, only a small handbag). When I boarded the Capt came to say hello, and told me I should understand the situation, and tell to nobody. (what I did till 15 years after). At each door there were at least 2GP and orders were called via the PA-sys.
I was told to take a seat in the middle section, no windows seat, and there would be no in-flight service nor movies. I then realised I was the only passenger, in fact the only person on board not wearing a uniform.
As I was the only 'civilian' I was also the only one who had some reading matter with me, some newspapers, I got in MEX. Many of the GP came to borrow them, as they had been cut off of all information.
The Luftwaffe came alongside when we neared FRA.

Quite an airline experience isn't it?

I regret having mislaid these newspapers as they would be the only material pieces of that flight, as there was no boarding pass, and no stamp in my passport. Some reporters at the airport looked very surprised at me when I left via the 'security' door in the Ankunfthalle, but they were kept away from me. Frankfurt was besieged by their own German security forces....
Apart from a train ticket and the fact that I was in FRA on a train to Aachen onto Belgium, indeed I havd no material proof of thise exceptional experience.
