not much info in the article ... too bad. It basically sais it was a hydraulical pump that exploded ... guess they will have to clean allot ...

The article also mentions 5 injuries. The other parts of the factory are still working as normal.

CNBC sources says:

29 May 2006 10:45 GMT Explosion At Airbus Plant Won't Affect Production-Company

PARIS -(Dow Jones)- The explosion of a hydraulic press at a plant of Airbus (ABI.YY) in Toulouse, in southwest France, earlier Monday won't affect the company's commercial aircraft production, an Airbus official said.

The press makes engine pylons for the entire Airbus range, but a spokeswoman said there are other presses at the Saint Eloi facility and another Airbus plant at Saint-Nazaire that can make up for the lost production.

The Toulouse plant has resumed operations, she said.

Five employees were injured in the blast, including two who have been hospitalized.

Inspectors are investigating the cause of the accident.

Airbus is 80% owned by European Aeronautic Defence & Space Co. (5730.FR), with BAE Systems PLC (BA.LN) holding the remaining 20%.
