American Airlines asked SNBA several times to use their own metal for new flights to the US. AA could not start new services to BRU due to lack of aircraft.

It's been months that SN is telling us they are actively searching for other long haul planes and nothing is happening..... I wonder when they'll get those new planes....

Having plans is great but materializing them seems to be more difficult for SN ...

These are the only aircrafts that I can find that are available for lease. The A345 should be nice for SNBA but unrealistic.

These posts are normally not for this topic. Maybe we can create an interesting topic about the "possible" new or leased aircrafts and new destinations for SNBA in Africa and the USA.

Why using Airbus on the route to the USA? Not all the Boeings of AA, UA, DL and CO are every time full ex-BRU, so why using bigger metal.

KLM is at this moment phasing out it's B767-300ER fleet. For this year the Boeings are going back to ILFC and leased further to Aeroflot.
For 2007: January, February, March and April - when fife B767-300 are going to be phased out, ILFC has at this time no new client for it.

Could this not an opportunity for SNBA? I know they are old, but they could be refurbished. After the refurbishment of the A330's, SNBA is a champion in using "old" metal in a new garderobe.

What they really need of a 767-200 sized 787, avalible tomorrow for the price of one of KLM's 767-300ERs......If only. The KLM 767s do sound like a good idea. What about some A330-200s for some new African routes?

Les Carnets du Bourlingueur is an extremely interesting programme of RTBF about a man trying all kinds of experiences, with a certain sense of humour, in exotic countries. It is a perfect fit for African flights of SN. It will be shown in three langauges (French, Dutch, English) on board of all SN African flights.

And for a complete technical check, repainting, ... Or is this not true. Of course it is done in CH so a little bit more expensive, not
