BRU, the first building for "Transpolis"

Post by ATC »

In 2007 the construction begins for the "Transpolis" businessproject at BRU airport. This project includes offices, shops and conference rooms. BIAC and partners will invest more than 600 mil. € in this project.

The first building will be build by a Dutch architect Wiel Arets.
As you can see below is a very special design.

That project, what you are mentioning, will cost 400 million €, the other 200 million € are for Brucargo.

When you look close to the picture, you will see also a new building at the same place where know DHL Building nr 2 is. I suppose that this new building is the future new train station.

As know, building 2 of DHL will be demolished.

Hi,

the area where it will be build is currently used as a parkingplace.
Does anyone knows where people will be able to park their car when the building begins?

Greetings

At that place another hangar burned out completely a few years ago.

It was the hangar with all the spare Boeing parts of Sabena

SabenaTechnics is not nearly the size it used to be, and won't be for a long time... They (presumably) have no use for that space anymore, so BIAC has found a new use...
