Beter, omdat ik waarschijnlijk ook wel eens een foutje zal maken hier een website met alle relevante info over Fokker en zijn "opslag" in Woensdrecht.

I totally agree with you.
They should preserve the plane maybe repaint it and put it in a museum.
BTW does someone know what BAe has done with the prototype of the Avro RJ not the RJX
is it stored somewhere or can we find it in a museum ??
Ciao

Exactly
I actually meant that the plane should just be washed to remove all dirt that's all. I shouldn't have used the word repaint.
Sorry for the missunderstanding Bartjuh

I know there is an Avro along the spotters' area in MAN airport. But I'm not sure it's the prototype.
Comet? Meerkat? Any idea?

Andre - yes, I can confirm that the prototype RJX is in the spotters area at MAN, I saw it when I returned from Dublin in June.

Oh no, here we go again.
I was merely answering a question which had been asked, as I am not one just to ignore people.
I thought that VLM were showing more interest in the ERJ than it currently was in the Fokker 70.

I heard today in VLM's corridors that they are still verymuch interested in the F70. Even planning production.

Get your story straight, planning production is done by Rekkof which is owned by the CEO of VLM. If the production starts again (in China!) it will be first only the F100 and not the F70, maybe in a later stadium. News is getting less from Rekkof, my opinion is that this whole idea is dying in a silent way especially now with the future 50, future 70 and future 100 contracts.

From what I have read about the Fokker 70 production, I agree with what Erwin is saying. The CEO of VLM is also involved with the Rekkof project.

VLM's interest in the Fokker 70 and the Rekkof project have been well documented in the aviation magazines.
