There was a media report in Turkey that planned Onur Air flights from Brussels to Eskisehir this summer were cancelled due to some technical problems at Eskisehir Airport. Allegedly, Onur Air faxed a letter to travel agents in Turkey and Belgium informing the cancellation and offered to fly those passengers to Ankara instead.
According to TinTin, CEO of Belgocontrol, they want higher landingfees when DHL leaves from Zaventem.
DHL is good for 20% of the earnings of Belgocontrol. More important; they fly at night and with a high load: the fees are in that period double.
This means that all the other airlines on Zaventem have to pay more within some years.
This was the same situation when Sabena went bankrupt.

With a new month coming - June - we will see the following.
Two new airlines:
- Ethiopian Airlines: three flights a week. According to the latest, the first aircraft will be a B757. Flights are on Thuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
They start on 05.06.06 at ADD and arrive 06.06.06 via CDG at BRU.
- Smartwings: the first intention was to start with six flights a week, except on Saturdays. But when I had a look on the timetable of smartwings I saw four flights a week on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. They will fly with a B735.
The timetable of BIAC is still mentioning six flights a week.
They are going to start 15.06.06.
Using bigger metal:
Air Algerie: A330-200 starting 25.06.06 for the Friday flights till 23.09.06
Royal Air Maroc: B747-400 starting 26.06.06 and this for the Monday flights till 11.09.06.
