Hope this is the right place for this topic ;)

Here's a photo report from the balloon meeting held at the hippodroom of Waregem , weather wasn't that good but they still took off and there was even for a small moment some sun

I was too late to go inside the hippodroom so decided to park my car at the opposite side of the 'tribune' where it was also very crowded...

Once they were all in the air I started chasing the special shaped balloons , the horse and rabbit , who landed in the area of Olsene at around 20:30hr , hope you like the shots...

On with the photos:

Great to see the horse again! The color sheme is based on a real statue of a horse located in Avesta, Sweden. I saw it there about two months ago and it is famous all over Sweden. Thanks for posting the nice pics!!!

Hi, nice one's I was planning to go to the Baloonhappening too, since it isn't far from where I live, but the weather was poor. But I still managed to see them from my window. The horsebaloon is the biggest and only horsebaloon in the world. It has a size of 31m high and 31m wide. The owner is Willy Naessens, he also lives in Wortegem-Petegem.

As a comparison: just the head (without the neck) of the horsebaloon is bigger than an eliphant.

greetings, Pietn
