BRU: terminal A closed due to security reasons

You need at least a credit card or a ticket at those machines. BTW, these machines are guarded by a camera (at least that's wat it looks like), so compare the imges of the CCTV at the security checkpoint when the man ran away with the images of the camera at the Self-check-in machines, look for the name of the PAP whose boarding pass was printed by the machine at that exact moment and bingo: suspect identified.
Conclusion: it's much more anonymus to check-in at row 4 in the peak moment than on the Self-check-in machines.
More disturbing than this: all traffic was stopped, and the terminal evacuated, only ONE HOUR after the incident took place. Even after the stop, there were still some flights leaving from terminal A. That's the real threat to security in the airport: BIAC controls everything (including staff) to the smallest details, but when it comes to fast thinking, the airport is like swiss cheese (and I don't mean it tastes good).

Planes ready to take off were emptied their passengers and their luggage. Many planes delayed and others left empty in order to join their base and to be directed towards new roads. Final, this drive out-cross will have cost enormously. An escape which could be very expensive to Securair or the runaway, if the police force manages to identify him.
To get out the A pier you have to pass the security checkpoint from the right.
So if that person wasn't stopped the first time and didn't get on a AC, he walked out a second time passing the same security staff !!!!!!!.
So if all flights stopped = no risk, security staff had time checking people trying the lieve the A pier !. This guy escaped twice....
You have at that time ( 06.00 AM ) 50 securair people, 2 supervisors, 1 airport police in charge and his superior, and it took so long before something happened !.

That's also my opinion.Cartman wrote: More disturbing than this: all traffic was stopped, and the terminal evacuated, only ONE HOUR after the incident took place. Airport security means trying to arrest people in possession of arms, and not just avoiding them to board a plane.
