Bart, I think Ovostar was refering to the KL742 1/4 scalled. BTW, it would be nice to see pictures of it!

Seb.

I don't know if it flew already. Maybe it's written off, because there was some serious damage.
I saw in April, when I was in SA, on a local TV chain, a report on the first test flight, where it was damaged when staring up. They finished the report saying: "It will need quite drastic repairs to fly one day... if it ever will fly..."

Correction, the world's largest rc aircraft is this B-29, span= 9 meters weight= 200Kg and built by some members from the West-Vlaamse Aeroclub www.wvlac.be . It needs 3 persons to fly it :!: Really impressive to see this one flying above your head :D 8O Pics taken previous weekend during the model airshow at their homebase Moorsele.

I'd like one of those, but given my past experiences with remote control aircraft, I think it might not be such a good idea. (I nose dove a P-51 into the ground when it entered a spin) :dammit:

RTBF 1 also made a report on yesterday's news. It is indeed impressive to see it flying. It had some problems at the end of the flight, as the rudder was shaking strongly, but the pilot managed to get it back safe on the ground. It would have been a pity to crash such an expensive toy...

Nice to see that this is the first SN BA A333 to be repainted in the new colours!

Also one question: why did a French amateur choose SN BA as a model for its A333?

To all
here are some more informations
I am 36 years old, and I build this radio controled model during 4 years
It made its first flight on August of 2005
weight is 28 kg, with 4 liters of kerosen
some people talked about fire in that plane, it is not right
I had akerosen leak on the right tank ( I use soft plastic tanks installed in the wings ) and the base of the wing is made of styro
Kerosen make the sameeffect as acid, and styro became as cotton
I had to remove the destroyed styro, to replace by polyuretan foam
Then I had the french TV coming here to record, to announce the Paris fair in April on the TV news
The same day, you probably saw it on the belgian TV
The trouble I had with the rudder was because I did not build strong enough this part of the plane
I had to modify it to reinforce
I could land safely that day
The flying time between take off and landing is about 5.30 min, the total engine working time is about 11 min, time to roll, and keep 1 liter for security, in case I have to pull up
I have coosen SN BA colors, because I did not want to paint colors without asking the company ( in case of accident, it is beeter to have asked before ), and SNBA replied to me ! not a lot of companied have replied to me, thanks to them, moreover, I like those colors
Then I have been told, 2 years ago, that they wanted me to paint new colors, even if they did not get new colors A330's already, and I have received a plastic model as example
I can see today on that forum, that OO-SFo has been re painted, and surprise, winglets are painted, not the model I received
At that time, I started particiating to meetings, and End of May, I was in Mallorca Jet Meeting, in Palma de Mallorca, and last week end, I was in Arles, near MArseille
You can see more details on my web page
Now, I have to build for customers, a KC 10 ( refueling DC 10 ) an A330-300 for Indonesia, and maybe an A300-600

Feel free to contact me for any informations you would like to get

I'm feeling inspired! :D I might try and build a glider this vacation. Maybe even electric, but jet powered is beyond my limits.
