You probably mean "no new orders", right?
So far the 346HGH has been ordered by Qatar Airways, Lufthansa, Virgin Atlantic and Etihad Airways, excluding the Emirates order which is being renegotiated.

The A340-600 is a sexy bird. Would be a shame to see her go out of production :(:(:(:(:(

I don't think the A340-600 will go out of production soon

It's rather strange, why don't they just drop this and get the Enhanced version up and running ahead of schedule? I mean there is a plan for major improvement just 5 years after this smaller improvement, for an airline it's sensible to wait that 5 years and get the new A346.

Unless something dramatic, A346 will not go out of production because the Enhanced has not even come... I dont' believe absolutely no airlines will order it..

Chances are somebody will buy the A346Enhanced or HGW or whatever, but the real question is will the A346 receive enough order to maintain the production line going. We'll have to wait and see.

Since it is build on the same line as the A330 (and A350 in the future?), that won't be a problem...

Exactly. The strong point in Airbus designing the 330 and 340 was to be able to build them on the same assembly line and therefore to benefit from a great flexibility.
