In the English magazine "Aircraft Illustrated" for march 2006 : a short history of TNT at Liège and an interview of Managing Director Niky Terzakis about its present and future, with some interesting air-to-air shots ot TNT freighters. On the side, a small feature about Liège airport.

TNT is going to increase drastically it's pax flights.

Next month we are going to use three B737-300 and two Bae146, in that way TNT airways can offer at least three flights a day to popular destinations.

In that way the aircrafts are going to used for the full 100%, at night freight and at daytime pax.

Off course this is only for tour operators. This is why it's becomming a second important bussines. Main flights are for BRU, Thomas Cook will gave it's new flights ex-LGG to TNT airways.

new flights ex-LGG ?
I dont understand ... :/

are you talking about this :
As from April 2006, TNT will launch passenger flights from Liège LGG to Ajaccio, Barcelona, Monastir, Palma and Ibiza.
https://www.aviation24.be/postp122048.html#122048

Seems logical that BRU receive the majority of the traffic, but it looks like LGG is getting a lot of new flights and attention thoses days.

Atlantis said to keep the eyes open:

Look here what I just discovered on the net:
http://www.mes-vacances.com/tnt-airways.html

It seems that TNT Airways will begin to sell seats by themselve!

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

If true, it's an exciting news!

Hi guys,

It's good to hear all the optimistics news concerning TNT pax flights from LGG & BRU as well.
The way to increase an aircraft life goes through extending its flying time, so in order to optimize its Fleet TNT will operate PAX flights during daytime & CGO flights during nightime is the best way that can be taken. But don't forget that all A/C's aren't QC or convertible ones.

I really hope that such idea comes true asap.

Nice landings to you all

They first Bae 146 of TNT is now flying pax to and from BRU.
Reg. OO-TAZ.

As said in other posts; TNT is not selling tickets by themselfs. TNT Airways received deals with new touroperators. That's why we added extra pax airplanes and QC-airplanes to the fleet.

Hi Atlantis,

Good news, hope TNT will increase such PAX ops.
By the way hope it will also increase the competitivity(I mean legal competitivity) between competitors & other carriers.

Between now and May 2007 we will receive the following aircrafts:

2 Bae 146
5 B737 SF
3 B737-300
2 B747-400 ERF

This is a huge increase for a Belgian cargo carrier.

Hello, this is my first post

I heard that TNT airways is going to expand his fleet with Boeing 757's? Does anybody know more about this?

This will bring the current fleet to:
- 15 BAe 146's
- 4 Airbus A300B4's
- 6 Boeing 737-300's
- ? Boeing 757's

If this isn't up to date, don't hesitate to correct it.

I also would like to know if there are already photo's of the new 747-400 ERF's?
