REALLY? might be nice or cool for maybe a month , until you have taken your pics. But as you might know...airports (or graveyards----look to Marana Pinal Park (Arizona---(Evergreen)) and some others) , airports with lots of stranded/grounded broken or illegal aircrafts , don't attract much new airlines...they distract them...it just isn't good commercial.

You get what I mean? It just doesn't fit. (now don't think I'm mad at you ha...;) BTW...have a nice holiday ;))
The fact that Marana & Mojave have little or no commercial airline service has a lot more to do with the fact that they are in the desert, than with the fact that they have old airplanes stored...

Agree with you Buzz,

The decision of an airline whether or not to serve a certain destination depends among others on the expected return, but I cannot imagine that an airline would take the amount of impounded aircraft at the destination airport into account when making the decision.

Today, i saw that the DC8 is no longer parked outside the Sabena Technics hangar. Has it left EBBR or is it still somewhere around the airport?

I saw it this week parked on the tarmac in front of the Lufthansa hangar, with the engine cowlings opened.

I have no time for a suicide attempt by watching the silverback depart.
Maybe tomorrow on the Kagama news: "DC-8 crashed after sabotage by belgian technicians"

Yesterday, she still stood at LH Technics.

Today, she seems to be gone yes.

Just the tires.....and the old and dirty panel of the 3de officer explaines why it's grounded. It's a shame....shuch a beautiful aircraft deservse a lot more than that poor maintance.

Won't be a surprise if I say Kigali is the (final) destination.

According De Standaard (in Dutch) the plane left Zaventem.

Like I already mentionned earlier, now we know how the government got the release of the SNBA A330. Hypocritical and weak like always.
