Around 16.15 I have seen a tupolev 154 landing on runway 02. Maybe it's a special aircraft.
It was from the Poland Air Force. I couldn't see if it was the 101 or 102.
Can someone confirm which registration it was.
There is/was a summit or top meeting today so many Government aircraft made the effort to attend. A nightmare for spotters around Abelag as the security was stepped up but seeing as the traffic is fairly common it isn't a real problem. Just be glad when it is all over.
The T154 you saw was 102

Can't we make a topic about what's expected ?
Because the moment we read this it's already to late ... On Scramble.nl they do this and for me and I think for other spotters as well, this is really handy ... + I don't seem to find this kind of info on the spottersdatabase ... It's always nice to know what you get when you're out spotting !!!
what a great day for spotting it was today, really worth taking a day holiday for. Some pics, all taken from the 02 spot. I wasn't alone there so I'm hoping to see some pics from the other guys too. No idea who they all were though...
had a splendid day at Brussels today
lots of Governmental planes today due to the "Euro top" specially this Romanian B-707 was a nice surprise
and this Turkish A320 TC-JLC in "retro" colors made the day complete :jumpy:
this is how it looks now
and this how it must have looked like "then"
off-course there where lots of others, including Tu154's, A310's, An26 (i think, not shure of the number ) and much more
just click on the following thumbnail, and from there on click on the image to see the next from today
Goodevening,
looks like a lot of spotters had a great day ! I couldn't make it due to work but I was able to have a close look during my break. I spotted the aircrafts behind the well known building and I saw police standing near the fences on the other carpark. Saw one police patrol on the airport which noticed me but was not bothered.
Thanks for the photo-contributions !

Dear Tim,
we encourage people to start a topic when they know a special plane which is coming in Brussels. Often those expected are mentioned in the spotters database a few days in advance. When last minute specials come in, you might find from time to time a topic here in the forum. The problem is that quite often nobody knows that such planes are coming and thus we just know after the landing that it was coming....
