When to ask for your ATPL?
Hello Luchtzak Aviators,
I have a question about licenses.
I have a CPL(a) License with a Frozen ATPL.
When can I ask the authorities to "unfreeze" my ATPL.
So the question again.
What are the minimum requirements for an ATPL license??

a general guideline you need 1500 hours these have to be split up in some instrument time, pic time picus time etc.... things you can find on the UK CAA website.
The way you have to unfreeze your frozen ATPL is different from country to country e.g. in belgium you need to do a sim test followed by some line flying and than another test in the sim, in the uk its enough to have all the hours and you ask for your licence because they say when you work with an airline you already do 3 tests a year and a ATPL test is just the same.
By the way, all the things you need to unfreeze your frozen ATPL you should have learned when you did your ATPl exams, it was part of the syllabus JAR legislation

bits44: I have my CPL issued in The Netherlands.
fly: JAR legislation wasn't one of my favorite subjects but anyway thanks for reminding me!
Well I am asking this, because someone told me that all the hours I am flying with the airline I have to devide by 2 because you only fly one leg. This is a strage story I think....
