BRU 16/03/2006 CO 757 Winglet in BRU !

Post by Kabila »

Hi all,

Some breaking news. CO is flying the 757 winglet into BRU on 16 March ! Arrival at 08.00am, leaving 09.30am.

I think it will be the first 757 winglet in BRU... so keep you cameras ready, especially with nice weather from the last days. Hope it lands on 25L.

Today RWY 02 was in use, and winds will stay from the East the whole week, so my bet goes for the 02 anyway.

OT: great to see this aircraft here, and: no doubt, it IS the first 757WL visit to BRU.
Is this a "normal" downgrade of the EWR flight due to low pax?

Only my opinion, but I think that Brussels is far too important for CO to downgrade us to a Boeing 757 when there is little demand on a certain day.

The difference in comfort between the B757 and B767 is too important (especially in the BusinessFirst section). The long haul fleet of CO has a tight flying program, so I think that this is a one off due to non-availability of a Boeing 767 (probably due to unexpected maintenance or another problem).

Hi everybody.
I'm flying to Newark next week with my miles and CO is the only plane where there is still some place.
So i'm not sure that for the moment there are flying the full house.

without going into further details... The only thing I want to say is, Fred is the only one with the correct answer so pls stop the speculation about downgrade, not enough pax,... already

is it true that usually CO flies with a 767-400 to Brussels?

Or do they swap with -300 when demand is lower?

Just wondering...

hey

I flew CO 2 weeks ago (767-400), and I can assure you the plane was full.
Just wondering, the 767-400 has ptv's for every passenger, does the 757 also has these?

@Vinnie-Winnie: CO doesn't fly the B763. BRU is a B764-only station.

@Laurens: the CO B752 does not have PTV's.

here's N14115 :D to bad the weather was the complete opposite from yesterday  clouds and mist

Image

Image

also the Turkish Hercules that arrived yesterday departed on 07R

Image

round 10 am there was a major breakdown of the electrical power at the tower 8O , only 4-5 frequenties where available (tower freq was down :? ), together with 07L beïng closed due to problems ore works, this resulted in some delay's up to 30 minutes  (and weather conditions didn't improve things)
