Is it the State of Qatar plane that is mentioned in the Spotters database (normally scheduled for 16/03), or is it another one?

*sigh* If only the runway on which it'll land would already be sure... I'm in the neighbourhood on thursday. Should I take the risk and take 25R? :-s

Strange... because AA98 is mentioned in the European schedule as ORD-LHR flight.

Where did you find your information?

For anybody who's interested in spotting the 747SP, don't bother...she left around 12h30 from RWY 07L. Fortunately I managed to get some photos :D

Ah you was that polite guy who asked me if I wanted to take some pictures through the little hole there...they still exist, the polite spotters! A pitty that one guy was taking pictures continuously when the 747SP was taxiing away...selfish people pff...I should have said something...maybe the weather was too beautiful and maybe I was too impressed by the aircraft...

Thx for the advice about the Canon 28-105 Ivan! As you maybe could see he was mounted on my camera. Did you manage to get good pics of the whole aircraft with your 75-300?

Hi Tommy (and everybody else),

Thanks for the nice remark. Since there are only a couple of wholes, and there were about 6 spotters or so, I think it's only natural to ask other people if they want to take some photos as well... As you saw, it's not too hard to share one hole in the fence with three spotters :D

As a matter of fact, the other guy asked me if he could take some photos, I said 'sure, no problem, I'm waiting here until she starts taxiing'. Then of course, she started taxiing and the guy continued to take photos...indeed, not a nice thing to do from his part I think, but my photos turned out pretty well after all I think.

And here some quick edits:

Hope your photos turned out OK.
