I've read some positive things about ATR 72-500 from FlightOne.

It's payware, but I'm considering buying it...

You should! It's the best paywaremodel I own. Plus it's more of a challenge to fly it than the PMDG 737 or LDS 767 which work almost only on autopilot!
And if you have the money I must recommend you to use FS2Crew ATR edition with it (www.fs2crew.com). Not that I have any stocks in these companies, they just give me the most realistic flightsim-experience uptill now...

Stroman,

At their site, they talk about "wide screen" panel. Is it readable
enough? I rarely fly on AP since I use sim mainly to exercise
IFR procedures and to stay +/- in shape for an eventual simcheck
(crossing my fingers).

Do you use it with multiple displays?

I might go end get it next saturday :-)

Hi Dimitri,

I use only 1 monitor, and usually fly from the VC. However, in the ATR-configurator, you can chose between high-resolution gauges or low res gauges. The high res are certainly readable enough.
But even if you prefer the 2D cockpit, you get a lot of small shortcuts on the panel to easily reach the overhead or the pedestal or even a landing- or F/O-view...

Hope this answers your question.

Grtz,

Stroman
