Bangladesh airlines tenders to lease aircrafts.

Post by Atlantis »

You noticed it or not but the last couple of weeks the flights to and from Dhaka/Dubai and New York via BRU were cancelled.

Today the airline announced they send a tender to lease two aircrafts because three of the DC10's are grounded due to technical problems or maintenance. They are also cuts frequenties but they don't say which routes. Before 23 March they have to find two long haul aircrafts.

The sad thing is that half of these planes are not more flying.

hehehe... now on the serious side, is there anybody who will come to the rescue, like when EK bought SriLankan and made it what it is?
Don't forget that Bangaladesh is a country of almost 150 m. souls, with millions of expatriates in Europe, North America and the Gulf.

A few months ago they were considering ordering B777's, but this is part of the saga and B777's are in short supply anyway.
