SNBA signed a contract to lease a B767 to fill the gap when the A330 will get there refurbishments. They had not the intention to buy or lease a fourth A330.
The lease of the B767 is for a period of only 3 months.
This is official confirmed by SNBA.
It also means that there will be no expand of long haul aircrafts in 2006.

No I'd love too see another A333, much nicer then B767 imo (we can see B767 already enough).

No hard feelings though my friend, I am glad we have a confirmation from a second source now....
I'm glad we know now what will happen in the next coming months and that we don't have to wait for that new A330.
I think we have to wait what they decide about Africa. The two coming years are crucial: the final merger of SNBA and Virgin and maybe a possible new buyer for SNBA.
They (only) have 3 active 767's CS-TLO, CS-TLQ (which we see sometimes @ EBBR) and N638TW. In the beginning they had 1 more but she went to Martinair Holland (CS-TLM)
Just read latest SN/VEX internal newsletter confirming:
a) B767 leased during april-may-june 06
b) avro/330 fleet continues for another 6 years before renewal...
According the Aero International,
SNBA will lease in springtime 2006
a fourth A330-300.
It's a former Sabena aircraft
that at this moment is leased by
Air Luxor.
SN Brussels least ab Fruhjahr eine
vierte A330-300 die seit der Sabena-Pleite
von Air Luxor gemietet worden war.
So, can we expect the B767 and the fourth A330-300 at the same time at BRU?
I think the ghost of the fourth A330 is still flying in some magazines. The B767 of Euro Atlantic is confirmed to fill the gap when an A330 get it's refurbishment.

I don't think so either because the new CEO has to make his new business plan. Who knows what the future will bring...lay-offs,smaller fleet etc... Maybe comparable to what has happened at VEX
I think SNBA has to do something !!!
Because the A333s are getting old and getting quite expensive to fly with so maybe in the future they will be replaced with some other aircrafts ... "If SNBA has a future"
Magazines copy a lot of their news from elsewhere... It is remarkable to see just how long after somehting has been revoked officially it still pops up as news. it makes you wonder how much of their other news is actually worth reading too...
Just so it is clear: the idea to get a 4th A330 was shelved to day Rob Kuypers quit SN, almost 4 months ago...
