Lufthansa flight skidds off taxiway
BELGRADE - Friday 9th February
An A320-300 onroute BEG - FRA skidds off taxiway, just before take off. LH3409 which departs BEG at 06:20 Local time, had caused minor disruptions to landing and departing traffic at BEG that morning.
No passengers were injured and there is no visible damage on the plane, and fire & rescue were very quick to respond. The passengers were transported to the terminal and accomodated in the waiting room. Some passengers were transfered onto other flights, while some gave up flying. There are 2 daily flights between the cities, with the next flight for FRA departing at 12:00, being the daily JU B733 flight, which is codeshared by LH.
Inspectorate of Civil Aviation Directorate has come to the spot for investigation purposes.
All flights are back to normal. This mornings LH FRA flight is still scheduled.

Lufthansa was too fast
After the incident at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport where a Lufthansa A320 on route to Frankfurt skidded off the runway was due to the speed being too fast. The manager of Lufthansa apologised to passengers adding that it was their fault and that Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport should be praised for its excellent work and excellent runway conditions.
Today many passengers cancelled their tickets and booked seats on Jat Serbia’s National airline. Will the mistake cost Lufthansa its loyal passengers?

You are very quick with your assumptions...Galemos4 wrote:After the incident at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport where a Lufthansa A320 on route to Frankfurt skidded off the runway was due to the speed being too fast. Re: Lufthansa flight skidds off taxiway
I know ther's an A320-100 and an A320-200, but an A320-300 is new for me...JAT_boy_BEG wrote: An A320-300 onroute BEG - FRA skidds off taxiway, just before take off.

I really doubt that someone of the staff of LH would say this:
The manager of Lufthansa apologised to passengers adding that it was their fault and that Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport should be praised for its excellent work and excellent runway conditions.
- even if it might be true. This is not the way I know LH handles PR and keeping any insurance issues in mind it would be very unwise to do so. Furthermore, the cause of accidents is NOT judged by a local manager.
Perhaps I am wrong, but in every post I can remember from your side, you tend to glorify BEG or JAT and if someone else is not your opinion (like in the discussion regarding the situation of JAT) you mention imply that someone hates your country. Perhaps I am wrong, but I have no posting in my mind in which someone verbalized hate against any country. So please, could we talk about aviation and leave national hate and love outside?
I appreciate that you are happy about JAT takeing off again, so are the most people, especially this means jobs ans freedom for people who have had difficult times during the last years. But I agree that there are many wishes and when discussing the possibilities, most of them are very unlikely to happen. It must be possible to say that.

Sorry Bernhard but you got it wrong,n5528p wrote:Galemos4 wrote:It’s not my assumption – It was announced by Lufthansa that the aircraft was going too fast and that is why the incident happened.

I don’t glorify Jat – I simply post the news. I get angry when the same person posts shit about Jat in all the jat threads and he has openly admitted that he hates my country.
As for an article I did not make the story up. It’s from our national newspapers. I just translated it. So please don call me a liar in the future.
You do not understand me - I never called you a liar. If you are citing newspapers, then please state the source so it is easier for us to make a difference between news you are forwarding (which is great) and your personal opinion.Galemos4 wrote:Sorry Bernhard but you got it wrong,

User name "Gamelos 4"...i thought your exchange of comments
with user name "n5528p", were quite interesting!
When you are confronted with a question you never seem to
answer it!
You just enjoy playing the defensive card !
You say that... i have openly admitted my hatred towrds Jat and
your country?
I have never said that in any of my postings!
Please find the posting where i said that!
How do you comment on the fact that your partner state "Montenegro",
is holding a referendum on the 1st of April,
as they are "voting to become an independent state", if they get the majority vote!
As i said before i have many friends from your country
and before you go acusing me of being an intolerant person,
please have a look at what your sister state "Montenegro", is doing
on the first of April 2006!
All this means is that your airline Jat wont be able to do summer charter
flights from "montenegros", Adriatic coast during this summer!
This means more revenue loss for Jat.
Jat can only sink more and more into debt without "montenegro".
Jat will get hammered when airlines such as Wizzair and Ryanair operate
to BEG in the near future, unless your airline Jat "restructures".
If you dont believe what iam writing....please go and check things out yourself!
Kindest regards!

OK well it was written by Politika – national newspapers of Serbia.

I agree with you. I think Jat won’t go on a good path in 2007 (when the open skies start) if it doesn’t do things fast. If it doesn’t do anything I don’t think it will go bankrupt it will just become a regional airline but time will tell.world wrote:User name "Gamelos 4"...i thought your exchange of comments

BTW If Montenegro becomes independent (which we are yet to see) Jat will be able to have charter flight. Because the kind of independence they want is just so that on a map they are not on with Serbia. You still wont need a passport for Montenegro and Montenegro Airlines will also be able to continue flights through Belgrade. It will be exactly the same as now.
