Paris airport and Oneworld to sign service contract

Post by killerwhale65 »

The Paris airport Charles de Gaulle and the airline alliance Oneworld have signed an agreement to guarantee Oneworld passengers a good service quality at the airport.

Passengers arriving at or departing from terminals 2A, B and D (the terminals used by Oneworld partners) will need to experience the same level of quality like on board of the airplanes. This means a clean terminal, sufficient flight information and special attention to mechanical systems such as elevators, escalators ...

Today 6 Oneworld partners use CDG airport: Aer Lingus, American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair and Iberia.

This is a good initiative ! Airports need to allign to the service level offered by airlines. This is why there are also "low cost" airports being build for "low cost airlines.
The "line of services" continues untill the pax leave the parking at te arrival airport and not when they leave the aircraft upon arrival.

Service level agreements are not really new, especially LH and BA are very strict in that matter. I would be very surprised if this is really new, I think they either had a renewal or just made an agreement for all alliance members at CDG. Just to generate good PR!
