possibility to have code identification system?

Post by KLM671 »

It was difficult to name this thread but what i mean is: it is possible to have a system like airliners.net, so when you write the airport code it shows you the airport name: EWR Newark Liberty, YUL it shows Montreal Dorval...

I hope you understand what i mean

sure it's possible, it just takes some programming. Actually i'm in need of something like that too, as well as many others here!

KLM671,

we certainly understand what you mean, in fact webteam member Liebensd has been working on that a few months ago. But due to lack of time on my behalf (click the link in my signature to know why ;-) ) it hasn't been programmed and tested yet.

Thank you very much Luchtzak for working on it (take your time, your baby is a lot more important :) ) , while we are going to wait for that system, i will simply use the link that member website-info gave me (thanks).

more specifically

offers exactly what you are asking for, knowing both IATA (3-letter) and ICAO (4-letter) codes - though for some curious reason your example YUL doesn't seem to work.

so I wonder why I recommended the other site........
