If Jat has the possibility to buy or lease up to 4 767-200 or 300 then they can start to fly daily between beg and toronto, chicago-newyork . no codeshare is nedeed. I think that the planes will be almost full every day, it´s about 1 milion serbians living in N.america and if just 10-15% fly to yugoland twice a year plus other people as well-no problem with the cash.

Of course it is possible, though I doubt the years of experience. In running aircraft? Yes. In international ops? After the last years I fear that there is not much experience left, so they have to work very hard. Important will also be the development of the home airport in terms of restrictions.

There is more situations where JAT has been in, but i think yous know what im on about.
So have many other airlines... I understand that you are very sympathetic to the cause of JAT, which is fine - no problem with that - but the history of this company will be barely a reason for success in the future.

There are advantages and disadvantages for JAT, therefore I am sticking with Nebojsa on this subject - time will tell if they make the right decisions...

i hopw they get the aircraft. i know that Air Maxi didn't get aircraft so they are nothing now.

i really hope that they do go to JFK and YYZ. But last year when they were going to go to JFK, they didn't and then they said that they are not interested in N/America until it properly established itself in Europe. They will go back in another 5 years or so, i think it has been said.

Air Maxi had hte aircrafts – they were supposed to use Avio GENEX’s aircrafts but they had some disagreement and the deal ended.

From what i knew is that Aviogenex was supposed to lease 2 B733's from another company, but AGX only has 1 B732 and a couple B722's. And AGX didn't get them their aircraft and they didn't fly. I was hopeing they started flying as they had good routes and a nice livery.

Also, what is with AGX anyway? all i know is that they keep leasing their aircraft in Papua New Guiena and Cambodia. And their services out of BEG is very limited. 1 cargo flight to Bergamo, Italy a day, and in the summer maybe there is one flight to TIV and TGD, and irregular charters to MIR, Bodrum, Antalya, Corfu.

My understanding is that they did lease in a B733 aircraft and were about to get their AOC to start operations until the government decided to reject the application because one of the partners was a close ally and friend or something to Slobodan Milosevic.

The post didn't help much.

AGX doesn't fly to CAI 2x a week. They do in the summer months, but it tends to vary, as they also fly to MIR, SSH, HRG, Bodrum etc. They even do domestic flights in SCG, flying between BEG and TGD and TIV.

Also, AGX operates a TNT cargo flight between BEG and Bergamo. Not sure if it is TNT though.

Also with Air Maxi, they wanted 2 B733 to begin flights, and their flirst flight was to be BEG - TIV, and other destinations included those in Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Slovenia and Morroco, with Macedonia, Bosnia, Germany, France, Russia, Ukraine and Scandinavian destination to be added at a later date. The managing director (i think) had previously worked for JAT???

Can Galemos or Jat Beg Boy explain why Centavia appears at the former link to Air Maxi and why there is only a "hit counter" and nothing else than Centavia on this webpage : a re-begin of the airmaxi idea?
Would be ok for me!

There is nothing on the Air Maxi website, it is just a white blank page.

The Air Maxi website was:

www.airmaxi.com

It was looking good as well while it was running. I think i might still have a picture of their B733 they had on their website. I have to look for it.

I am sure another low cost carrier will be opened in SerbiaMontenegro. There is talk of Montenegro Airlines and Aviogenex will expand, with more destination from Beograd expected. Aviogenex used to fly from Beograd to Manchester, ZAG, DBV, SPU, Faro, etc for all the Jugoslav tourists, now in the summer months they fly to TGD, TIV, MIR, CAI, HRG, SSH and a few Greek and Turkish destinations. Montenegro Airlines only flies daily between BEG and ZRH, but have had charters out to Greek, Turkish, Bulgarian and Romanian destinations during the summer months.

There should be a new airline starting operations soon from Nis (Serbia’s second largest city) Aeronice.

Right: now there is no "re-direction" at airmaxi.
Some times ago there was! Strange!
Does anybody knows anything about Centavia?

The B762's will come from an American company, that will lease them the 2 B762. The first of 2 should arrive on February 15th this year, and there it will be re-fited with the new interior that JAT has installed, which include all new seat designs for both economy and business classes, PTV in everyseat, etc. Also, a new livery is to be on the aircraft, which the whole fleet would be in by September this year. The first stage of the re-painting is almost complete, with the logo 'Jat Airways' on the fuselage, with the tail to be painted next, followed by the SerbiaMontenergin coat of arms under the cockpit windows. The 2 B762's will be used for 3 flights a week to JFK from May 15th 2006, and for 2 flights a week to YYZ as of June 1st. There is a roumour that they will do during the summer 2 flights a week with the B762s for a non-stop BEG-DXB, and 2 flights with B733 BEG-KWI-DXB, but i think it will remain the B733.

This summer we should see the arrival of 4 of 8 A319's, and it is said that JAT will use them for the BEG-KWI-DXB route. Options for routes to open at the moment include Minsk, Tehran, Doha, LGG, LUX, LED, but the destinations this year that will most likely open are JFK, YYZ, ZAG, OTP, SOF with either SPU, DBV, Rijeka or Zadar to open. ORD will be the next N/American destination to open if all goes succesful, and that may happen in October this year i have heard, but no confirmations.

Personally, i hope they do install PTV's in all the seats.

Well not exactly. The B767 will as you said be leased from an American Airline but only one will be taken at first – later with the expansion of NA routes to Chicago a second one will be taken. The aircraft will be chosen by February 15th so probably will arrive few days after that. It’s still not shore will Jat be able to paint the new livery on the American aircraft (depending what kind of deal was made) but if the they can they will do it in the new livery as you wrote. And it is true as you wrote that the new interior should be in place soon.
