I saw one of Virgin Atlantic's old Livery where they had the 747-200 named Austin Powers with a photo of Austin on the front instead of the Virgin Lady, sorry can't remember where!

 Do you mean the Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-400 featuring the ubiquitous 70s spy?

 Or do you mean the "real" Austin Powers Boeing 747 (from the movie)?
1. The first 747, a -143 series, was rolled off the Renton production line at the Seattle Boeing Plant on November 15, 1969, with first service entry (A Pan-Am 747-145) in June 1970.
2. The plane in the movie was a 747-238B, the type introduced in 1979. It also has Pratt and Whitney turbofans, the first P&W engine was attached to a 747 in 1979. He also had winglets, a feature never actually attached to a 747 until 1985.
3. The plane in the movie was leased from Qantas Australia, registration VH-EBV, a 747-238B. I know, because I saw it getting repainted for the movie at the QANTAS jet base in Sydney.

 Or do you means a scale model of the spy's private jet?

What a livery... looks like Transavia (the carrier's design-bureau (Landor)) got some inspiration from these "colours".

BeN

it's funny, because austin powers is supposed to be in 1968 ... and there was no 747 at the time

That's the Virgin Atlantic aircraft I was on about, only I saw it on a download website for FSim somewhere but can not remember where it was! I'll keep looking!
