Looking for an image posted in the forums

Post by luchtzak »

Hi all,

I am looking for a particular image posted in one of the topics but I don't find it anymore. It's a white Mini Cooper car with an American aircraft design: wings, tails, etc...

any help would be welcome ;-)

best wishes, kind regards,

Bart

A question for Bart MD-11: is it allowed in Belgium to drive around if I give my car wings like this? (with extra advertising for www.luchtzak.be ;-) )

No, because there is a law that says:
81.6. Versierselen - beschadigingen
Quote from the Belgian traffic rules www.wegcode.be
"It is forbidden to apply any accesoire than can increase injuries if an accident happens."
Modern cars are built in such a way that they cause as less as possible injuries if you hit a person. With these wings I can image that you can seriously hurt a person.
When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return."

No way luchtzak!

There's another law that says you can't change anything to a car that's not mentioned in, sorry I don't know how they say this in english, "het proces-verbaal van goedkeuring"

For example: If you want to put a "kit" on your car, you're only allowed to do it if that "kit" is mentioned in "het PV van goedkeuring". If it's not, then you're driving a illegal model of your car, and that means automatically no valuable insurance... and without that insurance you're not allowed to drive...

Sorry for going off-topic, but am I right if I say that you have to put off your kit when going to the car-inspection? I mean that you have to put the original parts of your car on it...

As mentioned already before : legally you have to put it off immediately if it's not an official recognized kit, which has to be mentioned in the "PV". The only way to drive with an illegal kit is to drive it on private property
