Nice old planes but still i will not fly them really if i can aviod them , they are like biman planes in brussels , the DC 10 of the 70 ties ... scary
i feel sad for the people on board ..

Oh yes I remember the BRU-LGW-ATL flights flown on a SN B747 in codeshare with BR. It was at that time the only link between BRU and LGW. There were also BR stewardesses on board, with nice kilts. A change from the Olivier Strelli uniforms of SN.

I once has a visit from an American colleague coming to Brussels from Houston. He flew a CO DC10 from IAH to LGW and was very surprised that his connection from LGW to BRU was on an SN B747.

I flew myself that route from BRU to ATL in C class.

If I remember well, this BAC 1-11 was the property of Al mansour, the sun of Akram Oger, a Saudi miliardaire.
This A/C was equiped with extra fuel tanks to have the possibility to cross the north atlantic.
