Hello everyone!
I'm interested in adding realistic air traffic to my FS. I've never done this before, but as I've heard, Project AI is the best (free) way to do this.
However, I'm totally lost on their site. As I understand it, I'm supposed to install the default commercial/general aviation with the 'PAI installer program', to modify my traffic .BGL file. Is this correct?
Second question: is there an easy way to install all (or at least A LOT of) repaints?
Or is there a better (freeware) project I can use for this purpose?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
new to Project AI
Hi Twinsen,
First, you'll need the PAI-installer from the pai-site: PAI official files - PAI installer. Download and install this program...
Then download any package you want ( I've only used the official files myself). There is a cargo and airlines section. Just download one you want and unzip it to a temporarily folder. Then start the PAI installer and select the ai-package you've unzipped. The installation goes automatic. Repeat as many times as wanted... ( I've got them nearly all) 8O
I'm not quite sure what you mean with the repaint-question. If you want the ai in the correct liveries, don't worry, PAI will install the right ones from the packages.
If you want to fly the repainted models yourself, you'll need to determine what kind of planes you like. Good modelers are FFX/SGA ( also Kittyhawk) - Project Opensky ( aka Posky) , IFDG, Project Fokker, Moach 737 experience, Meljet ...
Most of these guys produce wonderful airliners. Check out www.simviation.com, www.avsim.com, www.flightsim.com for HUGE libraries! There are many, many repaints out there for these models. Now adding repaints is a whole other story... I'll explain it to you if you need it...
Cheers,
Omag
